Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Modeling and Simulation Developer to design, develop, and maintain advanced simulation applications for defense and naval mission objectives. The role is onsite in Quantico, VA, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

You will build simulation capabilities within mission architectures, collaborate with engineers and SMEs, and lead testing, documentation, and stakeholder coordination efforts to improve fidelity and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of software development experience focused on modeling, simulation, gaming, or virtual environments.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages including C++, C#, Python, or Java.
• Experience with simulation or game-development platforms such as AFSIM (preferred), Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems and collaborative development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment.

Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Developer to join a team developing next-generation modeling and simulation capabilities that support critical defense and naval mission objectives. This role is ideal for a software engineer with experience building simulation environments, game-based systems, or virtual training platforms who wants to contribute to high-impact national security programs. This role will be fully onsite (5 days) in Quantico, VA. This position is onsite in Quantico, VA and requires an active TS/SCI Clearance!

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting military, defense, or operational modeling and simulation programs.
• Knowledge of Naval systems and the Naval Capabilities Integration Process (NCIP).
• Familiarity with 3D graphics, physics engines, and database technologies such as SQL.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum software development environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and mission-focused teams.

Compensation for the Modeling and Simulation Developer includes:

• Starting salary ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 based on experience.
