AV is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency with hands-on work using HWIL simulation data within the OSF framework. The role covers CDI activities, Ground Test events, and Flight Tests, involving analysis, verification, and cross-team communication.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in engineering or related fields and at least 5 years of M&S experience, with strong writing and coordination abilities across government and contractor teams.

We are seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This critical role will involve working with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation data in support of MDS Ground Test (GT) events, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, and MDS Flight Tests. The focus will be hands‑on support for MDA's distributed software simulation framework, OSF.

The salary range for this role is:
$91,000 - $138,750
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironment’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironment’s business requirements. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
