Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule practices and games with Athletic Director and head coach; ensure presence at all archery events.
• Train and practice with student athletes using best practices for archery and in accordance with all KHSAA and other national and state laws and guidelines.
• Learn and communicate with students and parents through the ROOMS system; complete other duties as assigned by Head Coach, Superintendent or Director of Athletics.

Job Summary/Basic Functions

Model coaching positions are seasonal appointments. The archeryseason is generally from October - March. Positions will ensure that KHSAA and EKU regulations and policies are observed during practices and events, provide coaching, role modeling and oversight of activities, and supervise students.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma and completion of KHSAA training or minimum of 64 college credit hours is required. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Experience: Must complete KHSAA and Model Lab School training requirements.

Licensure & Certifications:

Preferred Qualifications

Successful archery experience as a competitor and/or coach. Highly knowledgeable about the rules of the game and experience in working with student athletes.

Job Duties

• 75%% - -Work with Athletic Director and head coach to schedulepractices and games. -Ensure presence at all schedule archeryevents. -Train and practice with student athletes using bestpractices for archery and in accordance with all KHSAA and othernational and state laws and guidelines. -Serve as a Modelrepresentative and liaison when interacting with Model parents andwith employees, students, parents and community members of othersschools - (Essential)


• 15%% - -Complete all required training for coaches, includingModel orientation and review of the coaches handbook -Serve as a role model, using appropriate behaviors and coaching techniques forstudent athletes -Assist in selection and oversight of assistantcoach and ensure proper behaviors are maintained -Ensure propermaintenance and care of all athletic equipment -Adhere to studentconfidentiality policies and procedures -Follow proper protocol forstudent travel to competitions - (Essential)


• 10%% - - Learn and communicate with students and parentsthrough the school-approved ROOMS communication system - Completeother duties as assigned/requested by the Head Coach,Superintendent or Director of Athletics - (Essential)
