Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality in Las Vegas seeks an experienced cocktail server to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a high-volume environment. You will take orders, deliver exceptional service, and promote the venue and events to guests and colleagues.

The role requires hospitality experience in nightlife settings, ability to handle fast-paced service, and compliance with health and safety standards. Training includes in-venue cocktail server programs and ongoing team meetings.

Responsibilities

Prepares and serves all alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages for guests in a high-volume environment. Actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests’ bar/dining experience in an expeditious and professional manner. Interacts with the bar guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure an exemplary experience. Requests identification from guests when legal age is questioned and when processing credit card payment transactions. Works efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and body language to deliver superior guest service at all times. Markets the venue and its events as well as other company venues and events as designated.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Complies with Departmentof Health standards

• Complies with departmental appearance standards and uniform guidelines


• Serves all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and responsible service/alcohol awareness training standards


• Ensures the maintenance, general cleanliness, and orderliness of the tables, and surrounding areas


• Accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follows proper cash/payment card procedures


• Accurately completes all end-of-shift financial procedures


• Reports all breakage, and damage of equipment, the facility, or furniture immediately to management


• Informs management of any irregularities, incidents, guest complaints or other disputes


• Properly set up floor and side stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including:


• Ensures all tables and chairs/banquettes are clean and free of debris


• Sets tables with proper settings


• Stocks side-stations with prescribed supplies


• Performs opening side-work as prescribed


• Performs closing side-work as prescribed


• Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.


• Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.


• Participates in Marketing the company’s venues and events, including but not limited to social media posts and posing for venue and marketing photographers to appear in marketing, publicity, or media materials


• Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example


• Demonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments


• Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members


• Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Tao Group Hospitality in-venue cocktail server training

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

• Previous hospitality experience


• Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/dayclub/lounge


• 21+ years of age (Nightlife/Daylife requirements)
