Job summary

HII’s Warfare Systems division seeks a Model Based Systems Engineer with MBSE expertise to design and analyze complex systems for national defense. Located at Wright-Patterson AFB, this role emphasizes modeling, requirements management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-assurance C5ISR capabilities.

The job requires a Secret clearance to start, with potential TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Knowledge or interest in: SysML and UML, MATLAB, Any Programming Language, Linux
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering Principles
  • Experience with Cameo System Modeler or other comparable tools
  • Experience with any Requirements Management tools (JAMA, DOORS, etc..)
  • Must be able to work independently and have effective writing and verbal communication skills
  • Clearance: Secret clearance to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with enhanced security checks.

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
