Job summary

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to join our Huntsville, AL Systems Engineering Team. The MBSE Engineer will drive model-based systems engineering across multiple programs, traveling weekly to our Hollywood, AL facility as needed.

Responsibilities include leading Cameo-based modeling, requirements management, interface diagrams, and verification matrices, with the goal of aligning analyses to verification requirements throughout lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Systems Engineering with 2–5 years of related experience.
• Experience using Cameo and SysML diagramming tools.
• Eligibility to obtain/maintain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead MBSE modeling using Cameo Enterprise Architect across multiple programs and lifecycle phases.
• Align test/analysis data and documentation with verification within the systems model.
• Manage requirements, configuration management, and interface control diagrams.
• Develop schedules with the Systems Lead to meet program deliverables.
• Create satisfy and verification matrices and activity diagrams for system behavior.

CFD Research Corporation, a small, but growing, 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Team in Huntsville, AL. The MBSE Engineer will report to the Systems Engineering Group Leader and lead and collaborate with the team on the execution of model-based systems engineering. This role would work across multiple programs in varying stages of the product acquisition life-cycle. Travel to our Testing Facility in Hollywood, AL x1/week will be required.

Essential Functions:

• Utilization of Cameo Enterprise Architect 2024 for the establishment of new systems models and maintenance/updates of existing systems models.
• Ability to navigate the systems engineering process through various lifecycle phases of different acquisition programs.
• Lead the process in aligning test/analysis data and supporting documents with verification requirements within systems model.
• Lead requirements management process and assist in configuration management.
• Generate and maintain interface control diagrams within systems model.
• Participate in requirements generation - specifically requirements decomposition and derivation as required.
• Develop schedule alongside Systems Lead for meeting program deliverables.
• Generate satisfy and verification matrices as necessary to generate relationships between elements.
• Generate activity diagrams to support system behavior definition.
• Ability to adapt and support programs utilizing systems engineering as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Systems Engineering and 2-5 years of related experience
• Experience using Cameo
• Experience using Systems Modeling Language (SysML)

• Experience in SysML diagramming tools
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain/maintain a security clearance

Location:

This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area and is 100% onsite.
