Education Unlimited® offers academic summer camps and pre‑college programs for students in grades 4‑12. This position teaches the Mock Trial curriculum during weeklong sessions from June 10 to August 5.
Mock Trial participants learn court procedures, civil and criminal law basics, and strategies for constructing persuasive legal arguments. The weeklong program includes at least two mock trials, guest speakers, and a full‑length exhibition at the end.
Temporary summer camp position. The instructor guides high‑school and/or middle‑school students through the curriculum, delivers daily seminars and workshops, leads lectures, and prepares students for trial. Responsibilities also include tracking student work and submitting deliverables to the camp director and EU home office.
In addition to instructional duties, the instructor assists the camp director with supervision, recreational activities, and administrative tasks. Must be mature, reliable, and able to work well with fellow staffers. Mentoring duties include leading field trips and guiding students on excursions. Health and safety responsibilities are also included. Residential housing, room, board, and parking are provided. Preference is given to candidates who can live on campus and assist with dorm supervision.
Must have a reliable computer and internet connection. Should know how to use Zoom and Google Classroom. Refresher training will be provided.
