Job summary

Boone Health is seeking a Part-Time Patient Transport Assistant to support the clinical team at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. This role offers 24 hours per week with shifts 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus weekend/holiday rotation.

No prior experience required and on-the-job training provided. Under the guidance of licensed professionals, you will transport patients, assist with movement, and help maintain a safe, organized clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Work Shift: Day Shift (United States).

Responsibilities

  • Assists the licensed professional by performing non-skilled activities that are critical to a patient's treatment.
  • Transports patients safely and in a timely fashion.
  • Assists with patient movement from bed to chairs, wheelchairs, and other locations, as well as assist with repositioning and ambulation (walking).
  • Works under the guidance of licensed professionals, collaborating to determine the best methods for patient mobility. Uses various patient handling equipment, including slings, lifts, and walkers to safely assist patients with movement.
  • Accurately document patient mobility activities and any concerns observed, communicating with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
