Job description
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and support 4G/5G network connectivity solutions, including integration with carrier networks, mobile core elements, and enterprise/service provider infrastructure.
Plan, implement, and maintain IPv4/IPv6 addressing strategies, including subnet allocation, IPAM processes, routing policy, NAT considerations, and large‑scale subscriber/device addressing.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across mobile packet core, transport, routing, DNS, DHCP, APN configurations, and service provider interconnects to ensure reliable service delivery.
Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, vendors, and carrier partners to define network standards, operational procedures, and scalability requirements for mobile and service provider environments.
Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability, and drive improvements related to resiliency, automation, security, observability, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong hands‑on experience with 4G/LTE and 5G networking, including mobile architecture, subscriber connectivity, and carrier/service provider operations.
Experience with SIM/eSIM provisioning platforms and workflows, including large‑scale activation, profile management, entitlement flows, and operational support.
Deep knowledge of service provider IP networking, including BGP, OSPF/IS‑IS, MPLS, VRFs, QoS, CGNAT/NAT, DNS, DHCP, and routing policy.
Proven experience managing IPv4 and IPv6 addressing in production environments, including IP planning, assignment strategy, subnetting, dual‑stack deployment, and IP address lifecycle management.
Strong troubleshooting skills across Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, mobile services, carrier interconnects, and production operations, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mobile core and packet core technologies such as EPC, 5GC, APN/DNN design, policy control, roaming, and subscriber data flows.
Experience building or supporting automation for network provisioning and operations using Python, APIs, Ansible, or similar tooling.
Knowledge of service assurance and observability tools, including telemetry, SNMP, syslog, packet analysis, and performance monitoring in carrier‑grade environments.
Experience working with carrier/vendor management, service turn‑up, certification processes, and production change management in service provider networks.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or telecom/mobile networking certifications are a plus.
