Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the locally coordinated public transit-human service transportation plans.
  • Review and update the locally coordinated public transit-human service transportation plans annually.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in stakeholder/planning committee meetings; prepare agendas and minutes.
  • Coordinate program contract goals and activities to meet performance standards.
  • Oversee the Mobility Management website activity.
  • Supervise Mobility staff and promote a positive work environment.
  • Develop solutions to meet public transportation needs and expand services.
  • Meet with riders, employers, and agencies to discuss programs and solutions.
  • Schedule and host meetings between county transportation providers and DOT as needed.
  • Collaborate with state departments to increase access for specialized populations.
  • Meet with Mobility Managers to set regional goals and strategies.
  • Provide access to transportation providers' information and referrals.
  • Develop marketing materials and outreach programs.
  • Assist with research, development of funding opportunities, and grant writing.
  • Maintain record-keeping and reporting logs.

Mobility Management Coordinator

Location: 2317 Countryside D rive, Fremont, OH 43420

Schedule: Monday - Thursday

Weekly Hours: 34 hours per week

Position Overview:

Manage and implement the locally coordinated public transit-human service transportation plans. Research and develop transportation solutions for constituent groups. Assist in the research and development of grants for continued funding of program.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business management, transportation, social services, planning, or related field.

Experience:

Three or more years of experience in transportation, business administration, or social services with seniors and/or individuals with disabilities.
At least one year of supervisory experience, preferably in a transportation, human services, or customer-service environment.
Five or more years of experience using word-processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software.
At least one year of experience using transportation scheduling or reporting software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and implement the locally coordinated public transit-human service transportation plans.
  • Review and update the locally coordinated public transit-human service transportation plans annually.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in stakeholder/planning committee meetings. Prepare and provide agendas, maintain meeting minutes, expand membership in the stakeholder/planning committees, and remain up-to-date on transportation related information.
  • Coordinate, review and monitor program contract goals and activities to ensure performance and compliance standards are achieved.
  • Coordinate and oversee the Mobility Management website activity.
  • Supervise mobility staff. Maintain a safe, positive work environment and culture that promotes employee engagement, staff professional development opportunities, guidance and support.
  • Work with the Mobility Management team to develop solutions, design best practices to meet public transportation needs, gaps in services, and to expand the program and services offered.
  • Meet one-on-one with riders, major employers, economic development groups, local business association, human service agencies, local governments and funders to discuss new programs and ideas that promote increased options and access to transportation; and research and develop transportation solutions.
  • Schedule and host meetings between county transportation providers and representatives from ODOT, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other State of Ohio Departments including ODE, OOD, and ODD to increase access to transportation for individuals in these specialized populations.
  • Meet regularly with other Mobility Managers to create "regional transportation goals and strategies".
  • Provide and expand access to transportation providers' information, transportation options, and referrals. Advocate for alternative transportation solutions for community members.
  • Working with county stakeholder agencies to develop a marketing campaign and materials ("Getting around Guides", program brochures, and transportation service flyers). Prepare and conduct outreach presentations and activities that promote Mobility Management.
  • Assist with research, development of funding opportunities, and writing grants.
  • Maintain record-keeping systems, reporting logs and provide reports as required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Reward and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
Additional Requirements:
  • Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
  • Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
  • Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
