Job summary

Fitness Central East in Chattanooga is seeking a Mobility/Flexibility Instructor to lead group fitness sessions and adapt intensity for all participants. You will deliver the Fitness Central experience with safety and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities include starting and ending classes on time, maintaining equipment, reporting feedback to the Group Fitness Manager, and ensuring room setup and sanitation before every session. Current instructor credentials and CPR/AED certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current certification.
• Must possess and maintain CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and exercise modifications for all populations.
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Fitness Central experience to our members in each class.
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary.
• Continuously monitor the exercise/movement intensity throughout the duration of the class.
• Report to class a minimum of 15 minutes before class to ensure the room is clean and set up properly.
• Begin and end each class on time.
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum.
• Communicate with the Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operation status as well as scheduling and subbing.
• Ensure the equipment is put away, sanitized and properly stored.
