Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Mobile Veterinary Supervisor-VIP Petcare to lead and manage field clinic teams, ensuring exceptional petcare and customer experiences in a dynamic, retail-based setting.

You will oversee clinic operations, coach staff, handle animal handling and client interactions, and drive the mobile clinic van between locations while maintaining safety and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee non-medical aspects of mobile clinic operations and ensure a safe, efficient clinic experience.
• Document pet health information, services provided, and behavioral notes in clinic systems.
• Support pet parents during discharge, payments, and labeling/dispensing medications.
• Safely restrain pets during vaccinations, microchipping, and nail trims.
• Drive the mobile clinic van and assist with setup/breakdown at locations.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and disinfect equipment after patients.
• Mentor and coach Veterinary Clinic Assistants, providing feedback.
• Educate pet parents on preventive care and recommend services/products.
• Track inventory, vaccine expirations, and restock supplies.
• Uphold safety protocols and represent VIP Petcare values.
• Participate in leadership check-ins for training and development.
• Help achieve clinic productivity, product recommendations, and customer satisfaction.

Mobile Veterinary Supervisor-VIP Petcare

Pay Range:$18.56-$23.65hourly

Overall Job Summary

This is a dynamic, hands-on role perfect for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to grow in a leadership capacity while working directly with animals and the public.This position will report into the VIP Petcare team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

• Oversee non-medical aspects of mobile clinic operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized clinic experience.
• Accurately document pet health information, services provided, and behavioral notes in our clinic systems.
• Support the pet parent journey—review discharge instructions, handle payments, and label and dispense medications.
• Safely restrain pets during routine wellness services such as vaccinations, microchipping, and nail trims.
• Share responsibility for driving the mobile clinic van, including setup and breakdown at each location.
• Keep the clinic clean and compliant by disinfecting surfaces and equipment after each patient.
• Serve as a mentor and leader to Veterinary Clinic Assistants by providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Educate pet parents on the benefits of preventive care and recommend services and products based on their pets’ needs.
• Track and manage inventory levels, vaccine expiration dates, and restocking of products and supplies.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and represent PetIQ’s mission and values with professionalism.
• Actively participate in scheduled leadership check-ins to support ongoing training and development.
• Help achieve performance goals related to clinic productivity, product recommendations, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee clinic flow and team coordination in the field.
• Provide real-time support and mentorship to team members.
• Participate directly in clinic setup, pet handling, and customer interactions.
• Maintain consistent standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Previous leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in veterinary, retail, or mobile service environments. Customer service or sales experience, especially in fast-paced settings.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: Valid Driver’s License is required

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive a company vehicle to and from clinic locations.
• Strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a dependable attitude.
• Familiarity with tablets, iPads, and digital tools (e.g., Bluetooth devices, inventory systems).
• Ability to train and motivate others while staying organized and adaptable. Confidence in engaging with pet parents and recommending services based on pet lifestyle and health needs.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to cats and dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Must be able to work for prolonged periods of time in the field, including 12–14-hour days
• Ability to work weekends, varied weekdays & times
