Job summary

Lap of Love is a mobile veterinary hospice provider serving Fredericksburg and surrounding Virginia areas. This In-Home Associate Veterinarian role offers flexible 2–5 day‑per‑week schedules, allowing you to practice with purpose outside a traditional clinic while keeping time for life and family.

You’ll deliver hospice and euthanasia services, benefit from ongoing mentorship, and join a community that values compassionate, patient‑centered care and professional fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree required.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Practice medicine in a mobile setting, visiting patients at home.
• Engage with families to ensure understanding and comfort during end‑of‑life care.
• Participate in onboarding and ongoing mentorship programs to support growth.
