Job summary

Clean Harbors Weymouth, MA is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to join our safety-conscious team. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the company fleet at branch locations throughout the area, with travel as needed.

You must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, 1+ years' experience on heavy-duty trucks, and be willing to travel up to 70%. We offer health benefits, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and company training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 1+ years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience is required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory up to 70%.
• Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Ability to assess vehicle condition through inspections and diagnostic tests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and correct equipment deficiencies on company-owned equipment.
• Inspect equipment thoroughly and identify unsatisfactory conditions.
• Maintain PPE compliance during all tasks.
• Travel to other locations to perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Complete paperwork for PM schedules and tracking.
• Maintain active light duty or DQ driver status as required for mobile vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Correct all equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on company owned equipment as directed by management.
• Ability to perform thorough inspection of equipment and identify unsatisfactory condition.
• Full compliance with mandatory PPE requirements during all work-related activities and tasks
• Travel to other locations to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment as required.
• Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for tracking PM schedules.
• Maintain active light duty or DQ driver status as per mobile vehicle type.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management.
