Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a mobile mechanic to travel within a 60 mile radius to repair tractors and trailers at customer sites and yards. The role is safety-sensitive due to the potential hazards of roadside work and on-site repairs.

Responsibilities include tire work, component replacements, electrical and lighting repairs, and documenting labor and parts. Candidates must have at least 2 years of truck/trailer repair experience, read and write, and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years truck and trailer repair experience.
• Ability to read and write.
• Good communications skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry experience.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Repair tractors and trailers including tire repair/replacement and component fixes.
• Communicate with Shop Manager and Road Breakdown as needed.
• Fill out work orders and document parts used and labor times.
• Operate service truck to service sites and perform on-site repairs.
• Maintain service truck parts inventory and restock as needed.
• Perform any additional duties requested by shop management.
