Job summary

Hirschbach Motor Lines seeks a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to identify and fix trailer issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document repairs with precision. The role involves recording parts used and completing repair stories for warranty recovery, while working with various tools and equipment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2 years in fleet maintenance or technical schooling, and welding skills.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in fleet maintenance or equivalent technical training.
• Experience repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing Class 8 equipment.
• Welding skills in non-standard situations and various materials.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve trailer-related problems.
• Complete repair orders and related paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trailer equipment as assigned.
• Record parts used and repair details for warranty and documentation.
• Work in conditions including bending, lifting up to 100 pounds, and in inclement weather.
