Sonsray, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician based in Sacramento, CA. This full-time role requires travel to customer sites and thorough trailer repairs, including electrical, brake, and frame work, with strict safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer preventive maintenance, BIT, and DOT inspections.
• Repair lighting and electrical systems, diagnose shorts and open circuits.
• Conduct air brake inspections and overhauls, replace S Cams and related parts.
• Inspect brakes/axles and perform full body repairs (frame, foaming, paneling).
• Maintain rail and lift-gate systems, replace cables, cylinders, motors, and relays.
• Weld and replace suspension components and landing legs.

Job Title: Mobile Trailer Technician
Location: Sacramento, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $33.91 to 37.68 DOE

Position Summary:

We are seeking a self-starting Mobile Trailer Mechanic with comprehensive experience in all aspects of trailer repair. This role involves regular travel to customer and prospective client locations, requiring adherence to all road signs and safe vehicle operation within limits and weather conditions. Compliance with all auto and equipment safety rules and regulations is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Perform trailer preventive maintenance, BIT, and DOT Inspections.
• Conduct maintenance and repair of lighting and electrical systems, including diagnosing and isolating shorts and open circuits.
• Execute air brake inspections and repairs, including overhauls, measuring brake lining thickness, servicing drums and S Cams, adjusting brakes, and replacing S Cams, bushings, slack adjusters, relay valves, and air tanks.
• Must perform inspections, brake/axle repair, full body repair (frame, foaming and paneling).
• Perform rail and lift-gate maintenance, including adjusting hydraulic gate platforms and controls, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and replacing rail cables, cylinders, motors, pumps, and relays.
• Weld and replace suspension components and landing legs.
• Perform miscellaneous related duties as required and assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience.
• Must be over 21 years of age and maintain a valid Driver's License for company driving.
• Experience in collision repair, including dry and refrigerated vans, structure, roll & swing doors, interiors, exteriors, ceilings, and roof repairs.
• Certifications in Lighting, Electrical, Brake, Lift-gate, and/or Welding.
