Job summary

Eastern Truck and Trailer in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced field service technician responsible for outside repair/maintenance work on site. You will follow established schedules, install and service equipment, and troubleshoot problems in the field.

You will document all work accurately, coordinate with the Mobil Service Manager, and maintain paperwork, parts, and tools. The role demands strong communication, time management, and physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prior work related experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Services and installs all equipment per schedule and standards; troubleshoot on location.
• Documents all work legibly and submits daily.
• Coordinate daily with Mobil Service Manager.
• Turn in detailed paperwork daily with part numbers, VINs and photos.
• Maintain clean service vehicle and logbook; perform preventive maintenance.
• Keep vehicle stocked with parts and tools.
• Build and maintain customer relations in field to enhance the company's image.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsible for performing all outside repair/maintenance work in a thorough and accurate manner by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Services and installs all equipment according to an established service schedule, company standards and within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoot and rectify potential problems on location.
• Applies knowledge of products and seeks additional training/education as needed.
• Documents legibly and accurately all work completed according to company policy, and submits on a daily basis.
• Coordinate daily with Mobil Service Manager.
• Turn in detailed paperwork daily, including part numbers, vin numbers and before and after pictures of the repair.
• Works closely with management to ensure timely scheduling of installations, repairs and service work.
• Maintains a clean service vehicle at all times. Performs preventive maintenance and maintains a vehicle logbook on service/repairs done on a routine basis.
• Keeps vehicle stocked with a sufficient supply of parts and tools.
• Builds and maintains customer relations in field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's image.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
