Job summary

Friendship House in Scranton, PA seeks a licensed or pursuing-counselor professional to join a multidisciplinary team. The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering individual, group, and family therapies, and ensuring accurate, compliant clinical documentation.

A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or a related mental health field is required. Licensure is preferred but not mandatory, with a flexible 40-hour week and a valid driver’s license.

• delivering individual, group, and family therapies;
• and maintaining clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or other mental health discipline. A professional license/certification (e.g., LPC, LCSW, NCC, and LSW) is preferred, but not required. Clinical experience with children required and knowledge of community preferred. Position has a flexible 40 hours/week schedule; and requires a valid driver’s license and PA Act 33 Child Abuse, PA Act 34 Criminal Records, and FBI Criminal Background Check clearances.
