Job summary

Irby Utilities is seeking a Mobile Testing Technician to operate a traveling Mobile Testing Lab for dielectric testing and inspections of high-voltage PPE and Bucket Trucks in Midlothian, TX.

Responsibilities include inspecting and cleaning equipment, building jumpers, and performing annual/DOT inspections while following safety procedures. Travel up to 70% and shifts days/evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Two to three years related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean mechanical hoists, ground sets, mechanical jumpers, rubber coverup and hot sticks.
• Build custom mechanical jumpers and ground sets.
• Perform annual and DOT inspections of Bucket Trucks.
• Follow all employer health/safety rules and operating procedures.

What we are looking for in a qualified candidate:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Background in repairing hydraulic systems or tools
• Preferred background in repairing mechanical, battery, electric andgas-poweredtools
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.or more
• Clean MVR required and the ability to travel 70% of the time
• Requiresstrong communicationskills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work different shifts (days/evenings) and some weekends
• Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
