Job summary

GeneID Laboratories is seeking a Specimen Collector to serve as the main link between the facility and our lab. The role involves collecting, processing, and shipping specimens from residents and staff at long-term care facilities to ensure timely, accurate analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a life sciences degree (or related field), a valid driver’s license, and proven ability to manage on-site logistics and client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Comfortable with on-site tech troubleshooting with remote IT support.
  • Confident with client relationships for on-site setup and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specimen collections (mouth swab) at Long Term Care Facilities; willing to drive long distances.
  • Ensure labeling on all specimens is complete and accurate.
  • Process, package, and ship specimens to preserve viability and quality analysis.
  • Operate and maintain equipment used by GeneID Laboratories as needed.
  • Follow GeneID PPE and sanitization protocol strictly.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for collection and processing of specimens.
  • Identify potential issues and communicate feedback to management to improve service.
  • Maintain all licensure and required training.
