GYMGUYZ Northern Virginia brings fitness directly to individuals, residential communities, workplaces, and community partners. We’re expanding our specialty fitness programming and seek instructors who create safe, engaging experiences.

Join as a Specialty Fitness Instructor with flexible, part-time opportunities and potential for expanded hours. Certification in your specialty plus CPR/AED are required, with a passion for helping people move better and a commitment to DRIVe values.

Qualifications

• Current certification appropriate to your specialty or discipline.
• CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain prior to assignment.
• Previous group fitness, coaching, or instructional experience preferred.
• Strong communication and participant-engagement skills.
• Ability to safely modify programming for participants with different abilities and fitness levels.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned locations throughout Northern Virginia.
• Professionalism, dependability, punctuality, and positive energy.
• Comfort working independently while being part of a larger GYMGUYZ team.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, engaging, professionally structured specialty fitness classes.
• Deliver programming appropriate to your area of certification and expertise.
• Modify movements and exercises for different fitness, mobility, and experience levels.
• Create an encouraging, inclusive, and motivating environment.
• Work with individuals, groups, active-aging populations, residential communities, corporate wellness programs, and community organizations.
• Arrive prepared, professional, and on time for scheduled programs.
• Communicate effectively with participants, facility partners, and GYMGUYZ management.
• Follow appropriate safety and emergency procedures.
• Help participants improve movement, confidence, strength, mobility, balance, and overall wellness.
• Represent GYMGUYZ’s core values — Determination, Respect, Integrity, Versatility, Excellence (DRIVE) — in every class and interaction.
