C.H. Robinson is seeking a talented Mobile Software Engineer II to join our team and craft exceptional experiences for our valued carriers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multiple agile product teams, leveraging your expertise to make a meaningful impact on carriers worldwide. As a key member of the Carrier Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the end‑to‑end carrier journey. Specifically, within the Mobile branch of Carrier Experiences, you will be instrumental in developing and refining a world‑class mobile experience tailored to the needs of our carrier users.
This position may be located in Eden Prairie/Minneapolis, Kansas City, or Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating on a cross‑functional team of product managers, UX designers, data scientists, and engineers to design and deliver exceptional products our carriers love.
- Building efficient and reusable UI components and architecting reliable, performant, and scalable mobile solutions.
- Collaborating across teams to promote consistency.
- Following data‑driven approaches to conducting experiments and iterating on features.
- Communicating complex ideas effectively and understanding tradeoffs in achieving product goals.
- Investing in the documentation of mobile best practices and coding patterns.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience building mobile and web experiences.
- In‑depth knowledge of React Native for iOS and Android.
- In‑depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (e.g., React, Webpack).
- Robust design and UX/product sensibilities.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Growth mindset with a passion for learning and quickly understanding cross‑functional needs is a must.
- Experience with end‑to‑end feature development including backend/API engineering.
- Interest in the latest trends in mobile development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in system integration projects or global projects.
- Experience with transportation, logistics, or business systems.
- Experience building cloud native applications and services (ex. Azure, AWS, GCP).
