McCluskey Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a Mobile Technician in Loveland, OH. The role delivers GM MobileService+ maintenance and light repairs directly at customer sites, using dealership equipment, with a focus on customer experience.

The technician works independently in a mobile environment, performing oil changes, tire work, inspections, and recall tasks while maintaining GM standards and accurate service documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 1–2 years automotive maintenance/tech experience preferred.
• Able to work independently in mobile/off-site environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform GM MobileService+ approved maintenance and light repair services, including but not limited to oil and filter changes, tire rotation/repair, battery testing/replacement, multipoint inspections, wiper blade replacement, and air filter replacements.
• Perform recall and minor warranty work as authorized.
• Operate and maintain a mobile service vehicle, tools, diagnostic equipment, and inventory.
• Follow GM repair procedures, service bulletins, and safety guidelines.
• Complete accurate repair orders and documentation using dealership DMS and mobile service apps.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and represent the dealership professionally at customer locations.

Job description

The Mobile Technician is responsible for delivering high‑quality automotive maintenance and light repair services directly to customers through GM MobileService+. This role operates a fully equipped dealership‑owned mobile service vehicle and performs approved services at customer homes, workplaces, or other off‑site locations. The Mobile Technician ensures a premium customer experience while maintaining GM and dealership service standards.

JOB TITLE: Mobile Technician

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

LOCATION: Loveland, OH

A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform GM MobileService+ approved maintenance and light repair services, including but not limited to:
• Oil and filter changes
• Tire rotation and tire repair
• Battery testing and replacement
• Multipoint vehicle inspections
• Wiper blade replacement
• Cabin and engine air filter replacement
• Recall and minor warranty work as authorized
• Operate and maintain a mobile service vehicle, tools, diagnostic equipment, and inventory
• Follow GM repair procedures, service bulletins, and safety guidelines
• Complete accurate repair orders, inspections, and documentation using dealership DMS and mobile service apps
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service findings, recommendations, and next steps
• Represent the dealership professionally at all customer locations
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the mobile service vehicle
• Adhere to scheduled appointments and manage time efficiently throughout the service route
• Escalate complex repair needs to the dealership service department
• Maintain compliance with dealership policies, GM standards, and local/state regulations

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Prior automotive maintenance or technician experience (1-2 years preferred)
• Ability to work independently in a mobile/off‑site environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor condition

Preferred Qualifications

• GM Certified Technician (or willingness to obtain certification)
• ASE Certification(s)
• Experience using dealership DMS systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
• Previous mobile service or field technician experience
• Basic diagnostic skills using GM scan tools

Tools & Equipment

• GM and dealership‑supplied mobile service vehicle
• Mobile tablet or device provided for work orders and customer communication

Work Environment

• Off‑site customer locations including homes, offices, and commercial properties
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Independent fieldwork with regular communication with dealership service leadership
