Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking an itinerant school psychologist to support students’ intellectual, social, emotional, and psychological growth in Fayette County, with compensation based on the Fayette County teacher pay scale.

The role reports to the Principal and involves collaborating with staff to implement state standards and EDGE programs while maintaining effective communication with families and applying diverse instructional strategies.

Qualifications

• As set by state certification authorities.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Develops and maintains a classroom environment conductive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided.
• Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
• Strives to implement by instruction and action the school’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives, including, but not limited to, EDGE programs.
