Dinges Fire Company is seeking an SCBA Mobile Service Technician Specialist based in Juniata, Nebraska. The technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment. This position supports various sectors, ensuring all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and previous experience in SCBA service or related fields. Successful candidates will be required to travel frequently and operate a company vehicle as part of their essential duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in SCBA service, fire equipment service, industrial safety equipment, or mechanical repair preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, flow testing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on SCBA units.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and cylinder inspections.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate service records and testing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, DOT, and manufacturer standards.
• Manage service schedules and coordinate field appointments.
• Maintain service tools and company vehicle.
• Assist with equipment demonstrations and customer training.
