Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Route Engineer to support a retail banking client in a unionized, Monday–Friday role with travel between branch locations. You will be the primary technical contact for facilities and infrastructure, delivering preventative maintenance and rapid repairs to keep branches safe and inviting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–4 years of related experience
• Valid driver’s license and Universal CFC certification
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting 50 lbs+)
• PC/PDA use for work orders, email, ESS, training
• Strong MS Office and communication skills
• Ability to analyze and apply judgment to routine problems

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems for multiple facilities to keep building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.

• Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair, and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.

• Implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.

• Review inspections to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

• Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

• Operate company issued vehicle in execution of daily work responsibilities.

• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

• Valid Driver’s License and Universal CFC certification required.

• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. Tact and diplomacy to exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical way.

• Ability to effectively use personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

Collective Bargaining Agreement: The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Mobile Route Engineer position is $32.23 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
