Job summary

Virginia Department of Health seeks a PH Outreach Worker to join our mobile units, coordinating services for clients, transporting to appointments, and assisting with paperwork. The role involves close collaboration with two Community Service Boards to reduce barriers and enroll clients in appropriate services.

The position requires flexible hours including weekends and travel across Bristol City, Washington County, and surrounding counties.

Qualifications

• Technical support skills: follow protocols to assist licensed staff.
• Administrative tasks: phones, scheduling, filing, coverage.
• Communication: assist clients with paperwork.
• Organization: maintain accurate records and prepare materials.
• Customer service: interpersonal, professional inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for clients on mobile units; transport to appointments.
• Assist with paperwork and enrollment in services; liaise with Community Service Boards.
• Provide education and guidance; act as a case manager to access social resources.
• Work non-traditional hours and be onsite at events across eight localities.
