A leading heavy equipment distributor is seeking a Service Technician - Preventative Maintenance(Field) in Dallas, Texas. The role involves operating a mobile service vehicle to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs for clients. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in heavy equipment, basic mechanical knowledge, and strong English communication skills. Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in the heavy equipment environment or related field.
• Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English the English language well enough to follow written instructions and to report to supervisor and others verbally and in writing.
• Must have basic tools.
• Ability to work after hours and overnight.
• Class B CDL Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a mobile service vehicle and travels to customer locations.
• Performs in-field preventative maintenance services and minor repairs.
• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values.
• Performs preventative maintenance services on equipment as assigned.
• Plans methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs.
• Keeps rework within established guidelines.
• Completes required paperwork efficiently and timely.
• Models safe work habits and abides by company safety policies.
