Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilledPhlebotomist for a full-time role, working Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely specimen collection, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring compliance with all laboratory procedures and regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Patient Verification:Accurately verify test requisitions by comparing them with nursing station logs and resolving discrepancies with facility personnel.
  • Specimen Collection:Perform venipunctures with precision and care while ensuring patient comfort and adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Safe Transportation:Maintain personal safety and proper specimen handling during transport; track mileage as instructed by management.
  • Specimen Integrity:Follow department protocols and isolation procedures to maintain sample quality and prevent contamination.
  • Documentation & Tracking:Accurately document collected specimens, including initials, date, and time of collection.
  • Regulatory Compliance:Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to legal and industry standards.
  • Data Entry:Utilize laboratory information systems to accurately input sample acquisition details.
  • Professionalism & Community Service:Serve as a representative of the organization by maintaining professional conduct, adhering to policies, and ensuring high-quality service.
  • Enhancing Laboratory Reputation:Take initiative in upholding high standards in phlebotomy services and patient care.
