Job summary

American Para Professional Systems, Inc. (APPS) is seeking Independent Contractor Examiners to perform medical exams for life and disability insurance clients.

Exams are conducted at locations convenient for clients, including homes, workplaces, insurance agencies, or APPS offices. As an Independent Contractor Examiner, you will collect samples, perform EKGs when needed, document medical histories, and complete paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture skills essential.
• HIPAA/compliance knowledge.
• Valid drivers license and transportation needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical exams at client locations (homes, workplaces, offices).
• Record medical history, conditions, surgeries, medications, and provider details.
• Measure height, weight, BP, pulse, and waist-to-hip ratio.
• Collect blood, urine, and occasionally saliva samples.
• Perform blood draws with venipuncture; strong phlebotomy skills required.
• Perform EKGs with portable equipment when needed (training provided).
• Prepare specimens for shipment and complete paperwork accurately.
• Exams typically 15 to 45 minutes depending on requirements.
