Qualifications

• Phlebotomy or Phlebotomy Technician experience required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of patient identification methods and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with blood draw regulations and proper labeling practices.
• Excellent computer and data entry skills for patient records and test orders.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize sample collection requests based on urgency.
• Collect patients' blood, tissue or fluid samples following sterile technique.
• Determine the correct venipuncture method for each patient.
• Provide reassurance and information to patients during collection.
• Label samples accurately and prepare them for testing.
