Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our mobile blood drives based in San Luis Obispo, CA. You will greet donors, perform blood draws after paid training, and manage donor information while traveling between locations.

Training is provided, and no prior phlebotomy experience is required. The role includes setup and teardown of equipment, transport of blood products, and working with supportive managers to advance your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area, including overnight hotel stays.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors, keeping them comfortable and informed.
• Perform blood draws (paid training provided).
• Manage accurate and organized donor information.
• Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
• Set up, operate, and break down equipment at mobile blood drives.
• Package and transport blood products according to established procedures.
