You will handle patient information with care, perform venipuncture using proper techniques, and maintain sterile equipment throughout the process. The role emphasizes patient reassurance, accuracy in data entry, and adherence to legal requirements governing blood draws.

Qualifications

• Prev. experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician.
• Phlebotomy diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of patient identification methods.
• Familiarity with legal requirements regarding blood draws and fluid samples.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize requests for sample collection based on urgency.
• Collect patients' personal information.
• Determine the correct venipuncture method for each patient.
• Provide patients with reassurance during the collection process.
• Use sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment to draw blood.
• Correctly label samples and send them for testing.
