Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician.
• Knowledge of patient identification best practices.
• Familiarity with blood draw regulations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize sample collection requests based on urgency.
• Collect patients’ personal information for records.
• Determine venipuncture methods for each patient.
• Provide reassurance to patients during collection.
• Use sterile needles and vials for blood draws.
• Label samples correctly and send for testing.
• Never send back needles with a blood draw.
