Job summary

Asset Risk Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Birmingham, AL team. You will collect blood, tissue, and fluid samples from patients, contributing to their health through accurate testing and compassionate care.

Responsibilities include prioritizing urgent collections, obtaining patient information, and ensuring correct venipuncture methods with sterile equipment. Prior experience and knowledge of patient identification laws are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician.
• Phlebotomy diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of best practices in patient identification methods.
• Familiarity with the legal requirements regarding blood draws and fluid samples.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize requests for sample collection based on urgency.
• Collect patients' personal information.
• Determine the correct venipuncture method for each patient.
• Provide patients with reassurance during the collection process.
• Use sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment to draw blood.
• Correctly label samples and send them for testing.
