Job summary

Diamond Medical Laboratories is seeking a reliable Mobile Phlebotomist for early morning specimen collection in Kensington, Maryland. This contract/part-time role requires professional conduct, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety protocols while collecting and transporting blood samples from patients at various locations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong phlebotomy skills, excellent patient interaction, and the ability to work independently with good time management,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in clinical settings.
• Knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent bedside manner and patient interaction skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and specimen handling.
• Strong phlebotomy skills and safe blood collection methods.
• Ability to work independently with solid time management.
• Proficient with computer systems and data entry tasks.
• Safe and responsible driving habits.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and test requisitions; resolve discrepancies with facilities.
• Ensure safe transportation of specimens and track mileage per guidelines.
• Perform venipuncture while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Follow aseptic techniques and protocol to preserve specimen integrity.
• Accurately document collection details (initials, date, time).
• Adhere to legal and safety standards to maintain a secure work environment.
• Enter acquisition data into the laboratory information system.
• Maintain professional conduct and uphold company reputation.
