Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team in Rockford, IL. You will visit patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities to collect blood specimens and provide high-quality laboratory services.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy certification (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of experience, with strong venipuncture skills and excellent customer service. A reliable vehicle and clean driving record are required for travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff

The role

Are you a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing exceptional patient care? We’re seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team serving patients throughout the Cleveland/Akron region — visiting patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living communities, and bringing quality laboratory services directly to the people who need them most.

What your day looks like

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio
