Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a phlebotomist to join our Mobile Diagnostic Services team. The role involves specimen collection, proper labeling, entry into our system, and preparing samples for analytical testing across hospital facilities, PSCs, and mobile sites.

40 hours per week with travel to multiple locations; requires 1–2 years phlebotomy experience, valid driver’s license, background check, and fingerprint clearance. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years phlebotomy experience preferred, including mobile experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Fingerprint clearance card may be required.
  • Spe­cified travel to multiple sites (Nursing Homes/Behavioral Health) with flexible hours and on‑call as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and receipt biological specimens for the department.
  • Enter specimens into the company computer system accurately.
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to the appropriate analytic area.
  • Follow Code of Conduct and established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

This position may be responsible to provide coverage at multiple locations. This position is responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the department, their proper entry into the company’s computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing and/or the distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area. This includes responsibility for pre and post aspects of analytical testing. This position will also perform specified analytical testing as assigned. Follows the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum age requirement of 18.High School diploma or equivalent may be required dependent on state regulatory requirements.Basic knowledge of department resource materials.Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.Position may require DHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification.Dependent on department/location, candidate must possess a valid state driver's license in the state of employment and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.Float positions require travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at mobile phlebotomy facilities/in-office phlebotomy locations with minimal notice. Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, holidays and overtime.
