Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve patients across the Cincinnati area, visiting homes and care facilities with flexible schedules. You will perform phlebotomy, ensure specimen integrity, and deliver compassionate service to patients who can’t visit a lab.

Requirements include phlebotomy certification (or 1+ year experience), strong venipuncture skills, reliable transportation, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and age 21+
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-directed with ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques
• Verify patient identification, ensure proper labeling and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate with laboratory staff

The role

Are you a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing exceptional patient care? We’re seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team serving patients throughout the Cleveland/Akron region — visiting patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living communities, and bringing quality laboratory services directly to the people who need them most.

What your day looks like

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff

Requirements
