Job summary

PharMerica in Roanoke, VA is hiring a Mobile Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations across multiple long-term care and senior living facilities. You will travel between sites, assist pharmacists, and ensure accurate dispensing and patient service in a non-retail setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, and a valid driver's license. A pharmacy technician certification is preferred, with benefits including competitive health

Responsibilities

• Travel to multiple locations to support pharmacy operations and medication distribution
• Collects information needed to fill prescriptions from customers or healthcare professionals
• Measures, mixes, and labels medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Ensures accurate prescription preparation and dispensing
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
• Process insurance claims and handle medication inquiries
• Ensure inventory control and proper storage of medications during transit
• Adhere to all safety and security protocols while transporting medications
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy teams and healthcare professionals

Rotating Schedule (standard shifts include):

Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Monday – Friday 10:00 am-6:30 pm

Monday – Friday 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Travel Requirements

Percentage of Travel: 25-75%

• Reliable personal vehicle for travel.
• Ability to travel 60-70% of the time.

**To perform this role will require frequently sitting, standing, walking, typing on a keyboard with fingers and occasionally bending, reaching, and climbing (stairs/ladders). The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 11-20 lbs.**
