Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Painter/ Carpenter to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across multiple commercial facilities. You will handle interior painting, patching, finishing, and structural upkeep.

Under supervision, you’ll use a range of trade skills, review work orders, estimate materials, and ensure safety and compliance with HSE programs. This role supports engineering and technical services and requires strong organization and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Good communication to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, repair, and maintenance of the building's structure and grounds.
• Perform repairs and emergency preventative maintenance.
• Interior preparation, painting, touch-up, and finishing of areas in need of painting.
• Utilize patching, painting, and finishing under close supervision.
• Use tools and equipment for coatings such as varnish, polyurethane, primer paint.
• Repair and remodel imperfections and protect surfaces during work.
• Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, siding, scaffolding or fascia.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Mobile Painter/ Carpenter, you will perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair to various structures throughout multiple commercial facilities.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of the building’s structure and grounds.
• Perform assigned repairs and emergency preventative maintenance. Complete maintenance repair records as required.
• Perform interior preparation, painting, touch‑up, and finishing of areas in need of commercial‑level painting.
• Working under close supervision, utilize several trade skills such as patching, painting, and finishing.
• Use necessary tools and equipment to complete duties related to the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer paint, and other specialty coatings.
• Repair and remodel imperfections. This includes masking, preparing, and protecting surfaces to ensure facilities are properly maintained.
• Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, glass, siding, scaffolding or facia.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate time, materials, equipment, and tools to complete the repair. Order necessary materials and supplies as needed.
• Review construction documents such as drawings, sketches, specifications, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with employees, end users, and stakeholders concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Ensure the personal safety and safety of those who are affected by your work.
• Participate in all HSE‑related programs, activities, and training as required. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, assessment, etc.
• Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job‑related experience.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
