Job summary

Eyetastic Services, LLC in New York is seeking a Mobile Optometric Assistant to support residents in multiple nursing homes. You will work with Optometrists, perform on-site eyeglass fittings and repair, and help manage charts and imaging.

The role requires travel to Brooklyn/Queens sites, a valid driver’s license, and a professional appearance. The schedule is 8 AM–3 PM, four days a week, with mileage and toll reimbursement and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years as an optometric technician or in a similar role.
• Medical assisting degree preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with medical office management systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Google Drive and other tech tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to travel and work at multiple sites; own vehicle and valid license required.

Responsibilities

• Update daily roster and prepare Optometry Exam charts for each resident.
• Communicate and document schedule changes with nursing staff.
• Measure, fit, and repair eyeglasses for residents.
• Assist the Optometrist during clinical examinations.
• Capture fundus images and submit them for review by the Optometrist.
• Organize and electronically submit essential documents.
• Respond to inquiries from office staff and demonstrate teamwork.
