Job summary

Health Conservation Incorporated (HCI) is seeking a full-time Staff Audiologist to join the management team as Professional Supervisor (PS). The role involves supervising staff, reviewing audiology data, and training technicians, with up to 30% travel to field sites and mobile units across the country.

Qualified candidates hold an Au.D. (or equivalent), Illinois licensure eligibility, ASHA CCC-A, and CAOHC CD/PS-A certificates are a plus. Prior occupational audiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Au.D. or equivalent with occupational experience is welcome.
• Current license with eligibility for Illinois licensure.
• Familiarity with OSHA Hearing Conservation Amendment and working knowledge of regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• ASHA CCC-A certification.
• CAOHC CD and PS-A certificates are a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of occupational experience; 5 years overall audiologist experience preferred.
• Availability to travel on limited basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform audiology review and identify problematic audiograms, assess test validity, and consider baseline revisions.
• Educate and train audiometric technicians via CAOHC courses and onsite field training.
• Provide back-up field support on mobile units as needed.
• Provide written determinations of work-relatedness of standard threshold shifts per OSHA.
• Write opinion letters for workers’ compensation cases and testify as needed.
• Respond to inquiries regarding regulatory compliance and advise clients on employee issues and best practices.
• Attend professional conferences and represent HCI in professional organizations.
