Job summary

Mesabi Metallics in Nashwauk, Minnesota, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for the Mobile Equipment team. This role will focus on diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on heavy mobile mining equipment, including high-voltage electric drive systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or mining electrician roles.
• At least 2 years of experience on heavy mobile mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on mobile mining equipment.
• Maintain and overhaul electric drive systems and associated control systems.
• Support maintenance of autonomous haulage system technologies.

Skills

Troubleshooting AC/DC electric drive systems

High-voltage systems knowledge (480V–7,200V)

Experience with PLC-based control systems

Reading complex electrical schematics

Familiarity with autonomous haulage systems

Education

Journeyman Electrician license (Minnesota or equivalent)

Associate's degree in Electrical Technology
