Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our field-based wound care team. This role involves traveling to patient homes to deliver hands-on clinical support under the supervision of our providers.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, clinically competent, and passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a mobile setting, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• MA certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Home health/field-based experience a plus.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks and patient care in a field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings accurately.
• Perform chart checks to monitor patient progress.
• Coordinate and assist with patient scheduling and visits.
• Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards.
• Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff.
