Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Mobile Maintenance Technician to support operations and maintenance on building systems and equipment under the Enovity contract. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and is covered by the IUOE Local 39 collective bargaining agreement.

Shift: Tue–Sat, 9:30am PT to 6:00pm PT. Requires a high school diploma and several years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance and facilities engineering.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the described maintenance/operations tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of boilers, pumps, valves and piping for steam and hot water distribution.
  • Maintenance of refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators and related HVAC systems.
  • Maintenance of pumps handling brines and other secondary refrigerants, and associated control valves and devices.
  • Maintenance of electrical motors and engines powering pumps, compressors and fans.

Job Description
Position Purpose

The Mobile Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to provide operations and maintenance support to the facility. This would include repair and maintenance and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment included in the scope of work associated with the contract between Enovity and the client. The Mobile Engineer will report directly to the Chief Engineer.

This is a position attached to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Enovity and the International Union of Operating Engineers - Local 39.

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 9.30am PT to 6:00pm PT.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all boilers, heating pumps, valves, appurtenances and lines used in the distribution of steam and heated or processed water.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of refrigerant compressors, condensers, evaporators, traps, transfer pumps, expansion valves, stop valves and float valves, together with all refrigerant lines and devices used to control temperature, and air conditioning systems in their entirety.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of pumps handling brines or other secondary refrigerating liquids together with all valves, appurtenances and lines used in the system.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of air compressors, together with distribution lines and all valves and devices for air control.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all natural and manufactured gas distribution lines, including all valves and devices for air control.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of water filters, softeners, piping and pumps used in conjunction with water distribution, including all sinks and toilet bowls, including all supply lines, drains, water lines, control devices and sprinkler systems.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all types of electrical motors and engines used to power pumps, compressors and fans.
  • Operate and maintain all data center specific HVAC, and Electrical Systems to include: PDUs, CRAC Units, UPS Modules, Static Transfer Switches, Emergency Generators, Cooling Towers, Fans, Motors, Underfloor LDS, specialized Fire Systems including Fire suppression, and FA monitoring including VESDA.
  • Appropriate levels of electrical work including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Tools considered as necessary to the fulfillment of the duties of the engineer shall include all those which may be required in the performance of his duties, including such types of special equipment necessary to operate, install, maintain and repair the equipment listed.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all repair of all fuel oil systems including pumps, valves, lines and controls.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of building automation systems for HVAC, including consoles, data gathering panels, remote sensors and indicating devices.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all mail conveyor systems excluding tenant owned systems.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of sanitary sewer systems, sump pumps including basins, water closets, urinals and piping.
  • Maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of trash compactors, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all kitchen equipment excluding tenant owned equipment.
  • Operation, maintenance, installation, replacement and repair of all life Safety related equipment.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background
  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Minimum of five (3) years of experience in the implementation of the above.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training
  • EPA - refrigerant.
  • Licensed for equipment - responsible per job location.

Pay Rate: $72.93 per hour.
