Job summary

Debifi is seeking a Mobile Lead Developer to own the mobile ecosystem for iOS and Android, delivering a secure, seamless on-the-go user experience and integration with the platform.

You will mentor a small engineering team, define architecture, perform code reviews, and push for clean, scalable mobile solutions aligned with Bitcoin-focused fintech goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years commercial Android and/or iOS development
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin/KMP and/or Swift ecosystems
• Experience with app lifecycle, memory management, and multi-threading
• Expertise in cross-platform engagement layers including FCM, Live Activities, widgets
• Experience using AI-powered agents for code generation and quality review
• English reading/writing technical docs and Jira tasks
• Remote-work capable and highly organized

The Role

As Mobile Lead Developer at Debifi, you will take full ownership of the Debifi mobile ecosystem and become responsible for building and scaling our iOS and Android applications, which serve as the definitive cryptographic anchor for our platform - integrating secure authentication and transaction signing with a seamless, on-the-go user experience.

We expect you to collaborate closely with a small, focused team, helping guide engineering practices, perform code review, and mentor other developers while contributing directly to the codebase. This position is ideal for senior-level engineers with a proven track record of team-leading experience, vast knowledge of both iOS and Android platforms development specifics, who are passionate about Bitcoin, clean architecture, AI-driven development, and shaping next-generation financial products, looking for a long-term leadership role with real technical impact.

Responsibilities

About you

• Minimum 3 years of commercial Android and/or iOS development experience
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin/KMP and/or Swift ecosystems
• Experience with Android/iOS apps lifecycle, memory management, and multi-threading
• Proven expertise in architecting and deploying cross-platform engagement layers, including Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), iOS Live Activities, and native Home Screen Widgets.
• Proven experience utilizing AI-powered agents (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code) for enhanced code generation and rigorous quality review.
• English proficiency for reading technical docs, Jira tasks, and written communication
• Strong attention to detail and ability to independently complete tasks
• Highly organized and self-motivated, especially for remote work

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Blockchain technologies: Bitcoin, Ethereum (ERC-20), Liquid
• Experience with crypto libraries, APIs, and basic cryptography concepts
• Basic knowledge of setting up local development environments using Docker/docker-compose
