Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities, ensuring peak efficiency and long life.

The role emphasizes energy efficiency, safety, preventative maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime, with certification in universal CFC recovery preferred and a strong background in HVAC/R and related trades.

Qualifications

Universal CFC Recovery Certification is required or within 90 days of employment.
Minimum of four (4) years of technical building engineering experience focusing on HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment.
Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and related equipment to maximize efficiency and life expectancy.
Perform inspections and repairs to interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting.
Demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration; multi-skill across electrical, plumbing, piping, and material handling equipment.
Proactively troubleshoot and repair facility equipment to minimize downtime.
