Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice seeks compassionate veterinarians to provide end-of-life care in clients' homes across Kentucky and surrounding areas. You’ll deliver hospice and in-home euthanasia with time to listen, explain, and support families on their hardest days.

You’ll work independently on the road with mentorship from a supportive team, enjoying a flexible schedule spanning 2–5 days per week and guaranteed compensation plus quarterly bonuses, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Ability to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care in clients' homes.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License and willingness to drive to client locations.
• Experience or comfort with compassionate end-of-life care for pets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and end-of-life care for pets.
• Perform in-home euthanasia when appropriate and requested by families.
• Be present with families, answering questions with kindness and empathy.
• Maintain professional autonomy with mentorship and team support.
